Patio Enclosures in Parrish, FL

Patio screen enclosures that turn an open slab or paver patio into a screened outdoor room for dining, grilling and relaxing.

Enclosed patios

From open slab to outdoor room

Plenty of Florida homes have a patio that looks great in photos and gets used far less in real life. Sun, insects and yard debris make an open patio hard to enjoy for more than a few minutes at a time.

A patio enclosure frames the space with aluminum and screen, usually including a screened top, so the patio becomes a defined outdoor screen enclosure connected to the house. It is a natural place for an outdoor dining table, a grill, lounge chairs or a play area for kids.

What we provide

New patio enclosure construction

As enclosed patio builders, we design and build new patio screen enclosures planned around your patio, the house and how you want to use the space.

Supporting options include privacy screening for sides that face neighbors, and hurricane / storm screens for homeowners planning ahead for storm season.

We start by visiting the property, looking at the patio and the house together, and talking through how you picture using the space. From there we plan the size, frame layout and door placement, and explain what the project is likely to involve before any work begins. If your patio is going to be expanded or re-laid, it helps to plan the enclosure at the same time so the two fit together.

Planning

Fitting the house and yard

  • Patio surface and edgesHow the slab or pavers are laid out and where the enclosure will sit.
  • Connection to the houseHow the enclosure meets the wall, roofline and doors.
  • Coverage and frame layoutHow much area to enclose and how the screened top is framed.
  • ApprovalsDepending on the property, project scope and community, permitting and HOA approval may apply.

Good to know

Patio or lanai — and Florida weather

The words get used interchangeably. In general, a lanai is a covered area under the home's roof, while a patio is an open surface beside the house. A patio enclosure often needs its own screened top; a lanai enclosure usually works under an existing roof. If you are not sure which describes your space, that is fine — we will sort it out at the estimate.

Either way, Florida's sun, rain, humidity, insects and debris are what make screening worthwhile. Storm season matters as well; we offer hurricane / storm screens, though ordinary enclosure screening on its own is not intended to protect a home during a storm.

Questions

Patio enclosure FAQs

What is a patio enclosure?

A patio enclosure is a screened aluminum structure built over and around a patio — typically a slab or paver area beside the home — to create a protected outdoor living space.

Is a patio enclosure the same as a lanai enclosure?

They are closely related. A lanai is usually a covered area under the home's roofline, while a patio is often an open slab or paver area. A patio enclosure frequently includes its own screened top, while a lanai enclosure usually works under an existing roof.

Can you build an enclosure over an existing paver patio?

In many cases, yes. We look at the patio surface, its edges and how it meets the house to plan how the enclosure will be built and anchored.

Do patio enclosures need a permit?

It depends. Depending on the property, project scope and community, permitting and HOA approval may apply. We will talk through what your project is likely to involve during your estimate.

Can I add privacy screening to a patio enclosure?

Yes. Privacy screening can be included on the sides where you want more separation from neighbors.

How long does a patio enclosure take?

Timelines vary with size, permitting, approvals, materials and weather. We will give you a realistic expectation once we understand the scope.
