Who we are

Outdoor living, properly enclosed.

Parrish Screen Enclosures is licensed and insured. We design and build screened outdoor spaces for homeowners in Parrish and surrounding areas — from new pool enclosures and pool cages to screened lanais, porches and patios, along with residential and commercial motorized screens.

A good enclosure should feel like part of the house, not an afterthought bolted onto it. That means clean framing lines, proportions that suit the home, screen that is installed tight and even, and construction that is planned around Florida weather from the start. It is the standard we hold every project to, whether we are building something new or bringing an existing enclosure back to life.

A homeowner's guide

Screen enclosures & Florida outdoor living

Why screened space matters here

Southwest Florida offers outdoor weather most of the year, but it comes with mosquitoes, no-see-ums, heavy pollen seasons, falling leaves and afternoon storms. A screen enclosure lets you keep the breeze and the view while filtering out much of what makes being outside less pleasant. For pool owners, it also means far less debris in the water and on the deck.

Pool cages, lanais, porches and patios

Every enclosure type solves a slightly different problem. A pool cage covers the pool and deck, creating a large screened room around the water. A lanai enclosure screens a covered living area attached to the home. Screened porches and patio enclosures bring the same comfort to front porches, back patios and outdoor dining areas. Many homes combine more than one, and good design makes them feel connected.

Replacement and rescreening

Florida sun and weather eventually take their toll. Screen can fade, sag or tear, and older frames may show wear. Depending on the condition of the structure, full rescreening can make an enclosure look new again, while frame repairs or a full pool cage replacement may be the better long-term choice when the aluminum itself has reached the end of its useful life.

Privacy screening

Privacy screening uses a denser screen material on selected walls to reduce visibility from neighbors or the street, while still allowing airflow. It is a popular choice in newer neighborhoods where homes sit close together.

Planning for storm season

Storm season is part of life on the Gulf Coast. We offer hurricane and storm screens as an additional layer for openings around your home and outdoor spaces. We are happy to talk through which storm screen options suit your property and how they are used — and we will always be clear about what a given product is and is not designed to do.

Planning your project

Most projects begin with a conversation about how you want to use the space. From there we consider the size and layout, how the enclosure ties into the house, screen choices, permitting and any HOA requirements. Planning these details early is what keeps a project smooth — and is a big part of why professional installation matters.

Lanai, porch & patio

An extra room, without the walls

Screened lanais, porches and patios are where Florida mornings and evenings happen. We build new lanai, porch and patio enclosures and provide full lanai rescreening, with privacy screening available where you want a little more separation.

Motorized screens

Open air or screened in — at the touch of a button

Motorized screens retract out of sight when you want an open view and lower in moments when insects, sun or wind pick up. They suit openings on lanais, patios and outdoor kitchens, and they work equally well for homes and businesses. We install residential and commercial motorized screens, including SUNPRO motorized screen products.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What are the main benefits of a screen enclosure in Florida?

A well-built screen enclosure turns a pool deck, lanai, porch or patio into usable living space for most of the year. It helps keep out mosquitoes and other insects, reduces leaves and yard debris around the pool, and adds a layer of separation from the yard. Many homeowners find they simply spend more time outside once the space is enclosed.

What is the difference between a pool cage and a lanai enclosure?

A pool cage is a screened aluminum structure built over and around a swimming pool and its deck. A lanai enclosure screens a covered outdoor living area attached to the home, usually under an existing roof. Many Florida homes have both, and the two are often designed to connect.

Can you replace or rescreen my existing pool cage?

Yes. We handle full pool cage replacement, pool cage and aluminum frame repairs, and full pool cage rescreening. After looking at the condition of the frame and screen, we will explain whether rescreening, repair or replacement makes the most sense for your enclosure.

Do you rescreen lanais?

Yes. We provide full lanai rescreening, which replaces the screen throughout the enclosure for a uniform, clean look. Our rescreening service is designed for complete lanai enclosure rescreening.

Do I need a permit for a screen enclosure in Parrish, FL?

New enclosures and many structural projects typically require a permit, but requirements depend on the scope of the work, your property and the applicable local building department rules. Depending on the property, project scope and community, permitting and HOA approval may apply. We will discuss what your specific project is likely to involve during your estimate.

How long does a screen enclosure project take?

Timelines vary with the size and type of project, permitting, HOA review, material availability and weather. Rescreening is generally much quicker than new construction. We will give you a realistic expectation for your project once we understand its scope.

How do motorized screens work?

Motorized screens are retractable screens housed in a compact enclosure at the top of an opening. With a remote or wall control, the screen lowers along side tracks to enclose the space and retracts out of view when you want it open. We install residential and commercial motorized screens. We also offer SUNPRO motorized screen products.
